Computers in Homes Helps Ruatoria Whanau Go WiFi

Six whanau from Te Kura o Hiruharama who went through the Computers in Homes programme were struggling to get broadband connection. They were not within site of Gisborne.Net's WiFi network and couldn't get online. Their houses were in a pocket of Housing NZ owned properties that had trees and hills preventing a WiFi connection.
With some minimal investment between Computers in Homes and Gisborne.Net we were able to install a repeater on the Eastern Institute of Technology building. (Fortunately they already had an old forestry HT power pole on site). The building was owned by Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou and leased by EIT. Thanks to all of the parties who gave their approval, we were able to work together and provide WiFi access to those CiH whanau.
