In the middle of the Gisborne CBD at the cadet hall in Childers Road, (old masonic lodge) is the Tairawhiti Computer Hub Trust's latest computer hub. With a POD of 10 computers ready for action it was great to see the next CiH programme kick off this month.
We are all looking forward to the dozen whanu graduating and taking home their computers once their training has completed.
Well done whanau and also to Tena Baker and the team for putting it all together.

Waikirikiri Hub Graduation
A fantastic graduation first up for all of the whanau who participated in the first programme coordinated by the Tairawhiti Computer Hub Trust.
It was a good way to open up the community hub based at Te Kura Reo Rua o Waikirikiri.
All whanau have now been hooked up to broadband and with their knew skills are using the Internet many varied ways.
Thanks to Tena Baker and Waikirikiri for making it all possible.
The celebration was well attended and Guest Speaker Rehette Stoltz opened up proceedings.
Ka mau te wehi whanau!
